INNOVATION
Our modular equipment mounting allows rapid reconfiguration
Set in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina, our company was born from our collective love of all things outdoors. We are family oriented and family operated; as close friends, we enjoy proving our equipment each time we go kayaking, mountain biking, and taking the road less traveled. Our natural surroundings have inspired North State Overland to outfit explorers for adventure in the most remote parts of the country.
NSO offers flexible rack systems for 2nd and 3rd Generation Toyota trucks. Our intuitive systems adapt for the journey ahead, resulting in a product that is infinitely expandable for lifelong utility and limitless connections. Each of our products is built on three core principles:
Our modular equipment mounting allows rapid reconfiguration
Optimized designs maximize the capability of your vehicle
Attention to detail creates valuable, aesthetic products
Having graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering through the NC State - UNC Asheville Joint Engineering program, Cannon was inspired by his father’s small business career to attempt self-employment. He spent two years building a small service business while planning a career move into product design and manufacture. Given the opportunity to provide engineering services to AlphaTech on a by-project basis, Cannon became involved with North State Overland as a designer. He intends to capitalize on every opportunity the company offers to improve his abilities in product design, videography, and marketing – all while pursuing awe-inspiring adventures throughout America.
Both an Eagle Scout and US Marine, Peirce has been called to exploration and adventure throughout his life. His hope is to pair an NC State engineering education with his lifelong enthusiasm for design in an effort to make the American backcountry accessible to more people than ever before. He believes that simple, effective solutions are usually the most robust, that they often provide the best value for money, and that they make a solid foundation on which people can build their next outdoor adventure. Incorporating this belief with North State Overland’s mission to create the best products in the industry, Peirce contributes computer-aided design and simulation to NSO’s development program.
